Feeling Domestic

I'm not sure what my deal is, but the last few days I have been in a cleaning frenzy. I remember the same thing happened about this same time last year, but I chalked that up to "nesting," because Ty was coming soon! I don't have that excuse this year; I just have some OCD tendencies. When I say that I have been in a frenzy, I really mean it. I have been cleaning vents, drawers, scrubbing inside garbage cans, you name it! This is our super-clean fridge after I removed all the food, shelves, drawers, etc. and scrubbed it all down. I had a flashback to my single days living at the Riv while I was cleaning, as my "inspection chore" each month was cleaning the fridge. None of my roommates ever wanted to do it, but even then, I got a crazy sort of satisfaction out of knowing that it was perfectly clean! Is there something wrong with me?

As always, Ty was very willing to help as I did chores!

After all my cleaning was finished yesterday, I decided to go the extra mile and make my butterscotch/chocolate chip cookies for Adam's basketball team. (Thanks for the egg, Kim!)I have had a couple of requests for the recipe, so here it is:

2/3 c. magarine, softened 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 package chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 package butterscotch chips
1 egg 1 1/2 c. flour

I generally just throw the ingredients in in the order listed. I usually end up adding about 1/4-1/2 cup more flour, too. This just makes them a little less flat. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. It makes about 2 doz. cookies

Oh I totally go into cleaning frenzies myself. Once I start I can't stop! Those cookies look really good by the way. I think I'll give them a go!

Wow, I need to catch on to that. My house would really benefit from a good cleaning. I'm sure my family would like the cookies, too!

I made those cookies today and they were amazing! Luckly I brought them to the softball game so I didn't eat the whole batch :)
