We had a packed, fun-filled Fourth (or, Third, rather, since Independence Day was on Sunday). We started off the day with a pancake breakfast at the Church. It was followed by a bike parade for the kids. Daddy helped Ty a little; he is still trying to figure out the pedaling!
Then there were water balloon activities
Later in the morning, Ty had his first ever swim lesson at the rec center. He was a bit apprehensive about going into the water with people he had never met before, but about ten minutes into the lesson, he finally decided to try it and did great after that!
Next we had a barbecue with some friends from the ward. Then we played at the park together, and got a rare family picture:
We finished off the night by watching our town's firework show. It was pretty awesome. McKay kept saying, "Oh, wow!" and Ty was exclaiming, "Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!" They were probably the most enthusiastic kids there! :)
We were grateful to be able to spend the day as a family and with such fun friends!
