Bargains

Ty has been growing off the charts this summer. It's been fun to watch, but it's annoying, too, because he is going through clothes like nobody's business. At the beginning of the summer I bought him these cute slip-on shoes.

I bought them a size bigger than what he was wearing in June, thinking they would last him the whole summer. Nope. They went from too big to too small in the space of a MONTH. They are so small in fact, that he cries if I try to shove his foot into them. Ugh.
So, I went in search of new shoes for Ty, yet again. Now, if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE a bargain. In fact, I won't buy anything unless it's on sale. I went to the Children's Place (which happens to be my favorite store!) and found these shoes, in Ty's size, for $1.99. I know they aren't near as cute as his slip-ons, but hey, for that price, they will just have to do!

It's kind of interesting really, that I love sales so much. In my family, my dad did the grocery shopping. Each Saturday, after hitting up 3 or 4 different grocery stores to get all the best deals, he would come home and show off his great bargains. It was a game, actually. He would make us guess how much he paid for each item, Price Is Right style. We all thought it was kind of annoying as kids, but the funny thing is, I am so that way now!!
Speaking of bargains, Target is the place to go right now. I was there yesterday, and they had tons of baby stuff on clearance. They had five packs of onesies for $2, two hooded towels for $1.50, and shoes for $2.50. I stocked up, because we are probably not done having kids yet, and even if we were, that makes for great, cheap baby shower gifts.
Does anyone else out there love a good bargain? What great deals have you found lately?

I am exactly the same way! I love to see how much money I can save, and I love the clearance racks! I will have to go check out Target for baby stuff! There are some sweet deals on Kellog's cereal and snacks at Walgreens this week (and there are coupons in the Sunday paper too if you get it). I like to look at this website (http://www.couponmom.com/blog/serendipity/) for some great deals and free stuff.

I LOVE a good deal! It is so satisfying. And I remember hearing about your dad's skills in the grocery shopping department, lol. My favorite thing to get deals on is scrapbooking stuff because it gets so expensive so fast if you don't get it on sale.

And way to go on finishing your paper route. I'm totally impressed that you were able to stick it out for so long.
