New Shoes for $2.08

I am not crafty. At. All. Scrapbooking makes me want to vomit, I try to avoid sewing as much as I possibly can, really I don't have an artsy bone in my body. But when I saw this on my friend, Mari's blog, I thought, "I can do that!" And because Adam was at a campout with the scouts this weekend, I had time to. So I did. And I have to say, I am feeling pretty darn good about it. I was able to transform a nasty old pair of black flats into shoes that I will actually wear. And it only cost me the price of the fabric to cover the shoes--$2.08. Now I am on the hunt for clearance shoes so that I can mod podge up some more cute flats!

Try it--it's fun!! And if I can do it, anyone can!

I'm so proud!! They turned out super cute. If only we lived closer together we could do our next pair with each other.

Wow that looks impressive! I do better with straight flat fabric. Shoes are three dimensional scary. Good work. They are way cute.
