Indoor Skydiving!

Adam went indoor skydiving on Saturday! For Father's Day, Ty and I bought him a gift card to Skyventure Colorado, an indoor skydiving center that is really close to where we live. He finally had a free Saturday to go use it! It looked pretty cool. There was a chamber with huge fans underneath that simulated skydiving. Adam said it was a lot of fun, and it sure looked like it to me!
All suited up to go!

He's Flying!

This was Adam's flight instructor. He goes real skydiving once a week! The fan operator turned up the fans really high so that he could do all these tricks. It was awesome!

More Fun in Utah

Uncle Adam regularly gets mauled every time we go to Utah!
He's definitely a favorite with the kids!

Isn't Grammie such an angel? :)

Sisters, Sisters, There Were Never Such Devoted Sisters

My family recently bought a tandem bicycle. My mom has been wanting one for forever, and she finally bought one online. Random, I know. On Saturday, my sister, Ashleigh, and I, took it on its maiden voyage. Ash told me I got to drive, which turned out to be a big mistake! I was shaky, to say the least. In fact, I accidentally drove it right off the curb as we were starting out! Ash kept telling me to stop shaking my arms around, and I joked that it was hard to do with so much dead weight on the back! I told her she had to try to see how tough it was, and of course, she steered us smoothly down the street. Bah!

"What are those crazies doing?"

Between Adam and I, we have eight brothers and only one sister. Because she is my only sister, Ash is pretty special to me. But that being said, she is a real nut. Whenever the two of us are together, something weird is bound to happen. Did anyone see Misty May-Trainer and Kerri Walsh win the gold medal in beach volleyball a couple of days ago? They were seriously kooky after they won it and during their NBC interview. It reminded me so much of how Ashleigh and I are when we are together! She definitely brings out the silly in me!

Welcome Home, Uncle Bry!

We arrived home from Utah last night. One of the highlights of the trip was going to the airport to pick up Adam's brother, Bryan from his church mission to Texas. Before we went to get him, we helped Susan and her kids make some welcome home signs.

All six Marchant brothers together at last!

It was so great to see Bryan again and to be with all the Marchants in Salt Lake. Welcome home, Uncle Bry!

The Little Explorer

Let's just say the bathroom is Ty's wonderland. If the bathroom door is left open, there is no end to the havoc that he will create! He loves to empty the toilet paper roll onto the floor, push the garbage can around and empty the trash all over, open the toilet lid and play in the water, climb into the shower fully clothed, and explore the inside of the cupboards. He knows that he is not supposed to do any of these things but delights in doing them anyway. Needless to say, the bathroom doors are normally closed. It only becomes a problem on those few occasions that we forget...

We are leaving for Utah tomorrow and are so excited!! Adam's youngest brother, Bryan, is returning home from his mission in Texas. We are stoked to see him again, as well as the rest of our family members. I'll post again when we return next week!

Bargains

Ty has been growing off the charts this summer. It's been fun to watch, but it's annoying, too, because he is going through clothes like nobody's business. At the beginning of the summer I bought him these cute slip-on shoes.

I bought them a size bigger than what he was wearing in June, thinking they would last him the whole summer. Nope. They went from too big to too small in the space of a MONTH. They are so small in fact, that he cries if I try to shove his foot into them. Ugh.
So, I went in search of new shoes for Ty, yet again. Now, if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE a bargain. In fact, I won't buy anything unless it's on sale. I went to the Children's Place (which happens to be my favorite store!) and found these shoes, in Ty's size, for $1.99. I know they aren't near as cute as his slip-ons, but hey, for that price, they will just have to do!

It's kind of interesting really, that I love sales so much. In my family, my dad did the grocery shopping. Each Saturday, after hitting up 3 or 4 different grocery stores to get all the best deals, he would come home and show off his great bargains. It was a game, actually. He would make us guess how much he paid for each item, Price Is Right style. We all thought it was kind of annoying as kids, but the funny thing is, I am so that way now!!
Speaking of bargains, Target is the place to go right now. I was there yesterday, and they had tons of baby stuff on clearance. They had five packs of onesies for $2, two hooded towels for $1.50, and shoes for $2.50. I stocked up, because we are probably not done having kids yet, and even if we were, that makes for great, cheap baby shower gifts.
Does anyone else out there love a good bargain? What great deals have you found lately?

The Last Paper...

My paper route is over.  It's OVER!!  After 4 1/2 months of waking up daily at 2:30 AM, I am finally finished.  I threw my final paper this morning.  The last paper on my route I had to porch, so after I threw it, I did a little victory dance on the driveway before getting in my car and driving away.  I'm sure if anyone were to have seen it, they would have thought I was a little crazy.  But really, I am just excited to get a full night of sleep again!
